It was warm(47 degrees) the day I toured Sharon. The warm air combined with the cold snow made for a foggy day. Somehow, the fog made taking photographs at North Cemetery almost mandatory!
Sharon is a hiker’s paradise! Nearly 50% of the town is conservation land, including the Robert P Bass Memorial Town Forest, the Lincoln Davis, Cabot and Morse Memorial Forests, the Wales Preserve. 4991 acres of natural beauty. I didn’t get to do any real hiking on this visit but I saw evidence that others had…
It was quite peaceful as I walked along the marshes…
Sharon also has the distinction of having one of the 4 schoolhouses in the Monadnock region that are listed on the National Register of Historic places…
I’m sure that I’ll be going back to Sharon for some hiking. Just a side note, Mountain Road, Swamp Road and South Road are closed from Dec to April.

Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it. I’m hoping to go back to Sharon in the summer and do some hiking. When I do, I’ll post pictures on my Revisited page. ~Laura
