Windsor is the smallest town south of the White Mountains, but don’t let its size fool you! I found plenty of photographic opportunities!
From lovely views of the distant mountains to the bob houses on Black Pond…
The Windsor Mountain International Summer Camp has some very cool stone structures on its property…
And I saw more than a few glacial erratics (boulders and rocks that were left by the ice sheet millions of years ago)
And I loved the long line of mailboxes (see my post about Nelson for another mailbox line dance)
There are several ponds and streams in Windsor. I’m hoping to go back later in the year and kayak some of them…
I have to say, that I think their town hall is one of the prettiest that I’ve seen so far. It isn’t an old historic building, but it seems to fit in perfectly with my impression of Windsor…
But don’t dispair if you’re looking for old buildings and barns, there are plenty of those to be seen as well…
I really enjoyed the ruralness of Windsor. I can easily picture its beauty in all seasons.
