My trip to Goshen was a few weeks ago. By now, the lilac bushes and crab apple blossoms are just a memory, but I was able to capture some images, too bad I couldn’t catch the wonderful smell as well…
One of the highlights in Goshen is Gunnison Lake. The day I visited was in the middle of the week and I was the only person there. Steve and I visited again about a week later and there were several people enjoying the lake. There were kayakers, hikers and picnickers.
The windmills are visible in the distance and look small from here.
There are plenty of quiet back roads to drive along and take in the scenery…
There are some great historical buildings to be seen as well…
Just across the street from this barn is a favorite local swimming hole…
I saw some other sights as well, including and old jeep and a tribute to the sea…
My favorite farm in Goshen is near the Washington town line. Usually there are highland cattle wandering the fields. This day, they were in the barn.
The road the farm is on (Rt. 31) is a road I’ve driven many, many times. Its mountain views never fail to wow me…
I can’t wait to get back to Goshen and kayak Gunnison Lake.
Goshen is a lovely, hidden treasure. Love your shot of the bridge in the woods!
It was over a tiny stream and seemed a bit out of place. Goshen was wonderful. We need to get our kayaks and head back over there.
That’s another town that I haven’t been to in years. Someday I’m going to have to just drive instead of stopping everywhere.
It goes along with the saying, “Life is a journey, not a destination”
You do have some lovely scenery in New Hampshire. I love the little bridge.
Thank you.
Wow Laura! The lilac bushes and crab apple blossoms are gorgeous. I love your shot of the waterfall and bridge. Just beautiful. ~Terri
Thank you. The smell was wonderfully intoxicating. Easy to see why it was loaded with very happy bees!
What a sweet place. 🙂
It certainly is!
I like the photo of the waterfall. I’ll be in Vermont late September and I’m excited to see the fall colors. Thanks for sharing.
