I grew up in Cheshire County and went to school through High School there as well. I was in both NC and SC for 19 year’s, but today I found your blog, I live in VT, and I am coming to NH soon. It’s Vermont’s twin state, but I love my adopted home of NH too . Its a wonderful thing your doing for the State.

Thank you Laurie! I’ve really been enjoying “touring” NH. I lived in NC for about a year and my step-son lives there now. I was just there last week. Have a great time when you visit NH!

I saw your comment on the Gallivance “Bridges with a Past.” I’m glad to find your blog. My daughter and her husband live in Merrimack, New Hampshire. Earlier this month, I tried to photograph covered bridges in Vermont, but it was hard to get a good vantage point of the few I saw. I’m enjoying your posts on New Hampshire and will look for any on covered bridges.

Thank you! There is a great book – New England Covered Bridges – It gives excellent history and directions (including GPS coordinates) I’m hoping to write a post about Swanzey soon. There are several covered bridges there. I probably won’t get to Merrimack until some time next year. Maybe your daughter and son-in-law can give me some pointers on what to visit when I go there!
